The D.O.C. is quite an unsung rap legend. Formerly a ghost writer for NWA, features on their tracks and even get a mention on Nuthin’ but a G Thang. The acapella to It’s Funky Enough has been cut up by multiple turntablists. His story is actually quite tragic too. After releasing his Dr Dre produced debut album in ’89 he was in a car accident where his vocal chords were damaged, therefor ending his rap career. Supposedly, Snoop has been paying for him to get voice coaching and they are even considering televising the vocal chord surgery that may or may not lead to a succesful, overdue, rap career.
